29 August 2006In keeping with the post earlier today on how hard it can be to get health insurance as an individual with even minor blemishes on your health record, I came across this post by Insureblog about a friend of the family who got in a car accident – and the financial consequences she narrowly avoided. It’s a sobering reminder that it is not safe to go without health insurance – and no matter what the difficulties, you need to get it if you can. There’s a good reason that many bankruptcies are initiated because the person has a sudden health problem.
