How To Set Prices For Stuff At A Garage Sale
14 September 2006Since I posted earlier with information on how to make the most out of an estate sale from the buyer’s perspective, I figured I’d add in a find for people who are planning on hosting a garage sale / yard sale : this guide on how to price the stuff you put out there. It raises some good points, like pricing the items a little higher than what you really want so that people can negotiate you down. Another idea I liked was sorting the stuff by predetermined prices – with a dollar table, a five dollar table, and so on. It’s a good read if you want to spend a Saturday cleaning out the house and making a few bucks while you’re doing it.
